Who we are

Wristen (wristen.app) makes an all-day voice recorder app for Apple Watch and iPhone. Contact: support@wristen.app.

This website

If you leave your email, we store it with the date, your country (from the network, not your address), and whether you asked to join the beta. We use it to send a TestFlight invite if you asked for one and to tell you the app is available, then delete the list. Write to us and we delete yours sooner.

The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Cloudflare hosts it and keeps standard request logs for security.

What the app records

Audio from your Apple Watch microphone while recording is on, in two-minute pieces. Recording only starts when you start it, and the watch shows the system microphone indicator the whole time.

From that audio we make transcripts with speaker labels, and daily notes. Speaker names you type are stored with your transcripts.

We do not collect your contacts, location or health data.

Where it goes

Audio is sent from your watch and iPhone to our servers on Cloudflare (storage in Cloudflare R2), encrypted in transit and at rest.

Soniox transcribes the audio. An AI model provider writes the daily notes from the transcript; we name it here before the app launches. Both process data only to give you the result and do not use it to train their models.

Apple handles payment. We receive a record of your subscription, not your card details.

No one at our company listens to your audio or reads your transcripts, unless you ask us to look at a specific recording to fix a problem.

How long we keep it

Audio is deleted 30 days after it was recorded. Transcripts and notes stay until you delete them or close your account.

You can delete any piece of audio in the app; its transcript and anything derived from it are deleted with it. Deleting the app account deletes everything within 7 days, including backups.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion at any time by writing to support@wristen.app. You can also export transcripts from the app.

Changes

If we change what we collect or who processes it, we update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect, and tell users in the app.
